Electronic Communications Delivery Policy and Consent
Last updated January 1, 2024
This Electronic Communications Delivery Policy (the "Policy") sets out how WorldRemit Corp. ("we", "us", or "Company") communicates with you electronically. You must review and consent to the terms of the Policy prior to obtaining our services.
By accepting the Electronic Communications Delivery Policy on our Channels, you are consenting to the Policy and affirming that you meet the computer and mobile device requirements listed below. By refusing to consent to this Policy or withdrawing your consent to this Policy at any time, you will not be able to obtain our services.
Delivery of Electronic Communications
To the fullest extent permitted by Applicable Law, the Policy and any other agreements, notices, policies, disclosures, or other communications from us to you regarding our services ("Communications") may be provided to you electronically, and you consent and agree to receive Communications in an electronic form. These electronic Communications may include:
> User agreements, terms and conditions, or policies (including updates, modifications and supplements to them);
> Pre-payment disclosures;
> Transaction receipts, confirmations and other related materials;
> Transaction histories and periodic statements;
> Alerts, notifications and messaging relating to our Services;
> Customer service notifications, including any communications relating to asserted errors or unauthorized transactions; and
> Promotional materials.
Communications may be posted on our website, including our mobile website or websites of our affiliates, within our mobile applications, delivered to your e-mail address and/or SMS texted to you. You should print a paper copy of or download any Communication or otherwise retain it for your records. All Communications in electronic format will be considered to be "in writing." We reserve the right to provide Communications in paper format.
We usually communicate with you by sending you SMS text messages, e-mails, posting messages on our website or within our mobile applications, and sending push notifications to your mobile device. You are required to check for incoming messages regularly and frequently regardless of delivery method. Messages may contain links to further Communications within our mobile applications or on our website, including our mobile website or websites of our affiliates. We may also deliver Communications by requesting you download a Hyper Test Markup Language ("HTML") file, Portable Document Format ("PDF"), Joint Photographic Experts Group ("JPEG") file, or other specified electronic file containing the Communication.
Any Communication or notice sent by SMS text or e-mail will be deemed received by you on the same day if it is received by SMS text or in your e-mail inbox or is posted within our mobile applications before 5:00 PM Pacific time on a business day. If it is received after 5:00 PM Pacific time on a business day or at any other time, it will be deemed received on the next business day. For purposes of this Policy, business day means Monday through Friday, excluding holidays when our offices are not considered open for business in the U.S. If you are unsure whether a Communication originated from us, please contact us as set out in the Contact Section.
Consumer's Responsibility to Update Personal Contact Information
You must at all times maintain your true, accurate, complete, and up-to-date e-mail address, mailing street address and mobile telephone number on file with us. You may update this information on our website, within our mobile applications, or by contacting us as set out in the Contact Section. Communications delivered by e-mail will be sent to your e-mail address reflected in our records, and communications delivered by SMS text will be sent to your mobile telephone number reflected in our records.
Right of Consumer to Withdraw Consent
Your consent to receive Communications electronically is valid until you revoke your consent by notifying us. If you revoke your consent to receive Communications electronically, we may terminate your right to use our services, and you accept sole liability for any consequence resulting from suspension or termination of the right to use our services, to the extent permitted by Applicable Law. At our option, we may treat the provision of an invalid e-mail address or mobile telephone number, or the subsequent malfunction of a previously valid e-mail address or mobile telephone number, as a withdrawal of your consent to receive Communications electronically. You may revoke your consent by notifying us by contacting us as set out in the Contact Section.
Right of Consumer to Request Paper Copies of Communications
You can request a paper copy of any Communication received electronically and relevant to you by contacting us as set out in the Contact Section. We will send your paper copy to you by U.S. mail. In order for us to send you paper copies, you must have a current street address on file with us. We reserve the right to impose a fee for each requested paper copy.
